GROWING PAINS
Many children go through phases of growing pains, especially during periods of rapid growth. This often shows up as aching or pain in the legs, and sometimes even in the elbows, which may cause your child to wake up during the night.
We focus on relieving any underlying musculoskeletal tension that could be making the growing pains worse.
Along with treatment, we offer helpful postural advice, and we encourage massage, stretching, and simple exercises that can be done at home to support your child’s comfort.
In older children, growing pains can sometimes present as conditions like Osgood-Schlatter’s Disease or Sever’s Disease, where rapid bone growth puts strain on the muscles at the knees or heels. We’re here to guide you through managing these challenges with care and expertise.
