POOR POSTURE

Teenager_appointment

Posture refers to how a person holds their head, neck, back, arms, and legs when standing, sitting, or lying down.

Poor posture is a common cause of neck and back pain in children and teens. With electronic devices being such a big part of daily life, many children—starting from a young age—spend hours hunched over screens, which can lead to unhealthy postural habits.

Poor posture can also affect the diaphragm, impacting breathing patterns.

As osteopaths, we assess and treat any musculoskeletal restrictions that may contribute to poor posture. Part of our care includes recommending exercises and providing guidance on posture and strengthening to support your child’s overall well-being.

At Whole Health Osteopathy, all of our practitioners are equipped to deal with and manage your child's posture.
